POSITION: SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

Reponsibilities:

  • Responsible for crafting winning, deliverable solutions. Accountable to deal pursuit to ensure that proposed solutions offer a winning value proposition — plays a key role in the preparation of proposals. Need to understand current operational frameworks and how their solutions will be managed through and after the implementation
  • Research, evaluate and select technology and infrastructure products, analyze functionality and features, assesses cost benefit factors and budgetary/resource impacts, impacts/risks to customer organization, security and users, investigates compatibility with the existing operating environment selects products for evaluation, determines evaluation criteria and recommends final selection
  • Works with the Business Analyst to recommend and design solutions which meets customers’ needs, delivering technical visualizations of proposed solutions for approval by customers and execution by developers
  • To provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration and ensure that technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly
  • To assist in the development and maintenance of projects and corporate data standards and ensure best practice is maintained within various functions within the team
  • To keep up to date on current technologies and undertake personal development in line with business requirements
  • Assessment of business requirements, collection and identification of technical specifications, and the subsequent development of technology solutions that require development to be viable

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum Degree Computer Engineering / Computer Science or Information Technology a related discipline
  • A minimum of five years experience architecting large scale applications with at least three large scale implementations with progressively larger degrees of responsibility and scope of implementation
  • A minimum of eight years of experience with solution architecture and integration
  • Strong understanding of technology and business solutions within the interactive industry
  • Ability to analyze business operations to understand their strengths / weaknesses and determine opportunities for process/functional re-engineering
  • Ability to translate high level business requirements into business capabilities
  • Excellent planning and execution skills with a proven ability to establish and meet solution architecture goals and objectives
  • Successful background working with stakeholders to develop architecture frameworks that align strategy, processes, and IT assets with business goals
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex and ambiguous problems
  • Perform under minimal supervisory direction
  • Self motivated and results driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills for interacting across the enterprise
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills for effective messaging on strategic and tactical recommendations
